Wait, before anything else, I'd like to promote Plurk, I'm not that addicted, it's just fun. I'm Xiaopop there. Hehe.

If I can post pictures in this journal, this entry would also be filled with pictures, but anyway. 2008 was fine; filled with so many black, so many technology, and so much art, so much anime and manga, but-- I can't stress enough-- so little gaming.

So many black and so many technology? well, let's start with the black PSP that I got around February 29, my new black PC set (black monitor, black CPU case, black stereo, and even a black wallpaper [Tomb Raider: Underworld]), and well, I wore a lot of black (so many to mention >_>, and also the black Dell laptop with black cordless mouse with a black mousepad-- told ya so much black.

Moving on; obviously, there was so much art because I got into an art course (Multimedia Arts) and I was drowned in making a children's book (2, actually), 3 plates for Painting class (2 24x36 and 1 20x30), I got to experience nude drawing in the first sem, we made a short movie, we made ads for our marketing plan project, and what else? So far, that's all I can remember, but there were a lot.

Ooh, right, I finally got a drawing tablet, a Wacom Intuos 6x8 (I didn't want the 9x12-- too big, and the Cintiq 12wx-- too complicated, in other words, nose bleed-much) and early 2008 (January) we got Otounex, my sis' Canon EOS 400d that I semi-own because I forced her to let me use it during my stay in school(she doesn't exactly need it [if you are reading this--uh, thank you ]) but some other unexpected thing happened, I got a Canon EOS 50d around December 16, 2008. So, now, my sister can enjoy her 400d while I do the same the same with my 50d. Actually, I did not ask for the 50d, some unexpected thing happend that I got it. Anyway, we finally got to replace th broken tripod with a new one and we also got a 50mm 1.8 II lens-- it's cheap and pretty haha. In addition to art, bought a lot of artbooks like Digital Art Masters Volume II, Arina Tanemura's artbook, Fantasy Artbooks, and a lot more (I'm tired of typing, which rarely happens).

Will be posting devworks from the 50d, and you'll notice a huge change in the watermarking/copyrighting thingy and sizes of the photos-- just being extra careful ^^v

Anime and manga? I bought a lot of dvds from the first convention that I went to and I got to cosplay in public for the first time as Xiaoyu (her black and white outfit in Tekken 5), and of course, bought and downloaded a lot of manga (some I haven't read yet). Phew

But I'm really not that satisfied because that has got to be the year with the least video gaming hours-- I mean-- I never got to play during the summer, and that is so wrong >_<; (not a smiley or emoticon can express the anger and sadness I am feeling). But I got to buy the Tekken Dark Ressurection umd for my PSP.

This is also the year me and my sisters are finally going anti-piracy for video games. If you have to know why there is so little gaming, it's because the PS2 is theoretically impossible to be repaired anymore and (aside from the fact that my little sister deleted 5-years worth of gameplay on our memory card) my little sister broke my DS (the hinge only, but it still works like normal-- but it doesn't look pretty anymore) while she got a white DS lite (we argued a lot on who was to get that, she won, obviously because she has more tears than I do). I miss getting my fingers tired because of the controller or the mouse or the keyboard from playing RTS or playing Metal Gear or Tomb Raider or Final Fantasy or other friggin' games out there all over again.

But on the upside, there was a lot of sweets last year, which somehow compensated a bit the lack of gaming.

To end this entry, all I can say is, UCC (Ueshima Coffee Corporation) has the best blueberry cheesecake (not Tinapayan, not Coffeebean, not Nothing but Desserts, no, no, no). Try it now ()

ps. I'm glad people still like Ayame and I'm still that lazy to edit mistakes, which are mostly typos, in my gallery-- sorry. hehe
